 Shohei Ohtani to Undergo Season-Ending Elbow Surgery, Reports





Ohtani, a strong contender for his second American League MVP award in three years, suffered a minor injury to his right oblique during an uncommon outdoor batting practice on September 4th, causing him to sit out the following 11 games.

With his 2023 season now concluded, Ohtani is anticipated to undergo surgery promptly to address the torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow, which prematurely ended his pitching season in late August, according to sources close to ESPN's Buster Olney
